IT'S ALL ABOUT THE VALLEY NUPES
We are the Nupes of the San Fernando-Santa Clarita (CA) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated! San Fernando-Santa Clarita (SFSC) was chartered on November 1, 2013 to serve the educational and social needs of those who live, work, and worship in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys. Our regular chapter meeting takes place on the second Saturday of the month at 10:00 am — September through June. We meet at the Penny Lane Center on Rayen Street in North Hills.
OUR ORGANIZATION

Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. (ΚΑΨ) is a historically African-American fraternity. Since the fraternity's founding on January 5, 1911 at Indiana University Bloomington, the fraternity has never restricted membership on the basis of color, creed or national origin though membership traditionally is dominated by those of African heritage. The fraternity has more 160,000 members with 721 undergraduate and alumni chapters in every state of the United States, and international chapters in the United Kingdom, Germany, South Korea, Japan, United States Virgin Islands, Nigeria, South Africa, and The Bahamas.

OUR PROVINCE
​
The Fraternity is divided into twelve (12) districts or provinces: Southern, South Central, Southeastern, Southwestern, Northern, North Central, North Eastern, Eastern, East Central, Middle Eastern, Middle Western, and Western.
The San Fernando Santa Clarita Alumni Chapter is located in the Western Province, which includes Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawai’i, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Japan and South Korea.
PROGRAMS
THE GUIDE RIGHT ACHIEVEMENT FOUNDATION
Modeled after the National Kappa League Leadership Development Program of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., THE GUIDE RIGHT ACHIEVEMENT DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION provides young men in the in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valley the necessary skills and resources to graduate from high school, graduate from college, and become leaders in their communities.

THE GRAD FOUNDATION
Established in 2017 as a 501c3 non-profit entity, the Guide Right Achievement Development Foundation (GRAD Foundation) is a beacon of empowerment. Rooted in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valley, our mission centers on equipping the forthcoming leaders with the essential tools and resources needed to enact meaningful change within their communities.

HEALTH & WELLNESS
In an effort to change those numbers, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., is focusing on both areas for its 2021-2022 HEALTH & WELLNESS initiatives. The bigger push for the organization’s initiative is improving the mental health of its brothers and the larger black community.

SOCIAL JUSTICE
SOCIAL JUSTICE. Since our small beginnings in Bloomington, Indiana, the men of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. have made their presence known in all areas around the world and daily are instruments of social change.

RECLAMATION
RECLAMATION. This past year, we experienced overwhelming joy as brothers from all across the country came home to Kappa. Brothers were reclaimed via word of mouth, social media, and grassroots efforts of chapters and brothers like you around the country.

MEMBERSHIP TRAINING ACADEMY
MEMBERSHIP TRAINING ACADEMY imparts the procedures the Fraternity uses to admit men into the Fraternity. It combines attributes of the past membership process [that was intended to - teach aspiring members about the Fraternity, bond them with members affiliated with a local chapter and, test them on their knowledge] with a probation period wherein aspiring members demonstrated their understanding of these teachings and the value of bonding.

UNDERGRADUATE ADVISORY
UNDERGRADUATE ADVISORY. As an alumni chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. we are social, academic, and spiritual advisers who help guide our undergraduate members students along their collegiate journey.
THE NATIONAL KAPPA LEAGUE PROGRAM
THE NATIONAL KAPPA LEAGUE PROGRAM was founded on February 12, 1969 and is a training program designed to help young men (ages 14-18) grow, receive, and develop their leadership talents in every phase of human endeavor. It provides both challenging and rewarding experiences.
